Hybrid Technologies, Inc. - www.hybridtechnologies.com - R-Electric Car Co., Global Hybrid Corp., Solium Power Corp., and WhistlerTel - emerging leaders in the development and marketing of Lithium-powered and VoIP products worldwide - is pleased to announce that a lease/purchase program for the United States Congress has been established to allow a limited number of Hybrid Technologies' PT Cruisers and Mini Coopers to be leased by leading political figures in Washington, DC and West Virginia.

Hybrid Technologies initiates its highly anticipated entry into the market by through an executive lease program with district and federal congressional members.

Hybrid Technologies' Lithium Chopper built for the California Highway Patrol drew significant political attention from members of congress as well as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lt.Gov. Bustamante, Commissioner Mike Brown, Attorney General Bill Lockyer, and Secretary Sunne Wright McPeak of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency. The Chopper was presented across the state as part of May's celebrations and remembrance ceremonies for California peace officers.

Holly Roseberry stated, "We have always let our technology speak for itself and this opportunity to provide our Lithium vehicles to those with power in Washington DC has the potential to change the way government looks at alternative fuels. The CHP presentations drew a high number of inquires about our technology, especially from politicians. This obviously highlights a need we are more than happy to fill."

Hybrid Technologies dedicated a number of vehicles for the lease program in response to President Bush's increased attention on the US' need for independence from foreign fossil fuel sources and environmental concerns. The lease/buyback program will be fully implemented in 30 days with aggressive leasing terms on Hybrid Technologies' 2005 model Lithium PT Cruiser and Mini Cooper.

Governor Schwarzenegger recently signed an executive order outlining his vision of the Hydrogen Highway, allowing, among other things, hybrid/electric vehicles to utilize car pool lanes in the State of California.
