The Importance of Pet Restraints While Driving

AllState   18 Jul 2005 23:46 GMTPage rating:

You buckle up your children when driving, so why not your pet? This summer, if you hit the road with the family, make sure everyone – even your pets – are buckled up for safety.

Animals should be strapped into the backseat with a simple pet restraint. That will keep your pets from flying through the air if you stop short, as well as keep them from distracting you while you drive.

Some reports say that nearly one percent of auto accidents are caused by animal distractions. And almost 15 percent of drivers report that animals have nearly caused them to crash. Pet restraints can help and they cost only about $20 each.
