ZAP announced that a petition for import eligibility has been granted by the United States Department of Transportation for the 2005 Model Year "Smart Car Fortwo Coupe & Cabriolet."

The Smart Car is the stylish, fuel-efficient micro-car from Europe, one of the only available in the country at a time of record gas prices.
