Dodge Announces Pricing for New 2006 Ram 1500

Pumped full of all- new features, the new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is the first pickup truck available with cylinder deactivation technology, improving fuel economy by up to 20 percent.
Dodge today announced pricing for the new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 -- the most powerful light duty pickup truck on the market -- which boasts an all-new frame and suspension, an all-new interior, and a bold new Dodge Ram exterior.
The U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is $21,700, which includes $900 destination. The MSRP for the new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7-liter HEMI(R) V-8, featuring Chrysler Group's Multi-displacement System (MDS) is $24,650, which also includes $900 for destination.
The new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is the first pickup truck and latest Chrysler Group vehicle to feature standard MDS with the 5.7-liter HEMI. Without compromising its best-in-class 345 horsepower, the new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500's HEMI V-8 engine seamlessly alternates between four-cylinder mode when less power is needed and V-8 mode when more power is in demand.
In addition to the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 models offer the 235-horsepower Magnum(R) 4.7-liter V-8 and the 215-horsepower 3.7-liter Magnum V-6.
The new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is available in regular cab and Quad Cab(TM) body styles, in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, and with six-foot or eight-foot beds. Available trim levels are ST, SLT, Sport, TRX4 Off-Road and Laramie. A Mega Cab body style is also available.
