Suzuki   04 Oct 2005 01:54 GMTPage rating:

American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) automotive division continued its strong sales growth, reporting September sales of 7,131 units; up 41 percent over the previous September and Suzuki's best September in its history. Calendar year 2005 to-date sales are up 11 percent compared to last year.

Suzuki's record September increase was led by sales of the popular Forenza sedan and Forenza wagon models with sales of 4,213 units; a significant 128 percent increase over the previous year. In addition, sales of the company's Grand Vitara continue to impress, posting a 170 percent increase over last September as the media-acclaimed, all-new Grand Vitara begins rolling into dealerships. The sporty Aerio also enjoyed a strong September with sales of 743 units - an increase of 86 percent.

Suzuki's expanding product line in the United States now includes the all-new 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara, which arrived in dealerships last month, the popular Forenza sedan and Forenza wagon, the five-door Suzuki Reno, the Suzuki Aerio and Suzuki Aerio SX, and the most fuel-efficient seven-passenger SUV sold in the United States, the Suzuki XL-7.

In addition to the strong vehicle lineup, Suzuki vehicles feature America's No. 1 warranty with its industry-leading 100,000-mile/7-year, zero-deductible, fully transferable limited powertrain warranty.
