Hi all I am new to this group and have a couple questions... I am trying to
buy a jeepster commando but at the price the guy wants I have to buy ALL the
"xtra junk" with it..If I buy it I will need to sell some parts he has to
acomodate the price...All I want is the vehicle but I would have to sell the
full set of dana 44's with 373's... these came out of a 80 scout.. he was
going to shorten them and install in the jeepster... what are they worth??
is anyone here a buyer for them?? also there is a 60's model 1/4 ton
military jeep trailer in great shape! I see they bring 500-1000 on ebay is
anyone here looking for anything like this? If so please contact me!
Thanks

Post this in rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys and you will get some ideas of
price and maybe even a buyer or two.

I paid $100 for my rear dana 44 from a Scout, and it came with a spare axle
shaft.  I see them at that price often.  If a front is complete hub to hub,
with steering I see them go for $400 max.  Just today I saw a front and rear
set for $200.  They are too easy to find to demand a high price.

I'd be interested in the axles but I'm in Virginia, so I think that
would make it too cost-prohibitive for me.  If anyone near
southeastern VA has a pair of Dana-44's from a late-70's-80 Scout, I'd
be happy to get them out of your yard to put under my 800.
