1988 Suburban TBI stalling and choking

5.7L with TBI: I replaced the knock sensor and the cap/roter. It still
starts hard and stalls and chokes under acceleration. It won't even make
it up a hill unless at idle. Touching the gas pedal causes it to choke and
sputter. Any ideas? thanks.
