Only multitudes of 6 are okay....;))
(if only because an inline-6 leaves more room on the side of the engine,
for aftermarket bells & whistles....:))
(OTOH, it might be worse, the shape of the nose *requiring* a shorter &
lower engine....which would then mean that there *can't* be a 'poverty-
pack' version of this model, with solid axles (and lockers front and rear;
no locker available for the front axle on the luxury J100/IFS version today
either), since those workhorses require both simplicity (no turbo,
definitely not two) and the low-end torque of an inline-6.
The silly thing is: 220kW with the current inline-6 isn't very difficult to
obtain either, with aftermarket tuning....even only requires 5-7.5k euro.

In de toelichting wordt nog wel gerept over dat wellicht de oude 6 cyl. nog
geleverd zal blijven. Er is dus nog hoop voor je ;-)
Ikzelf zou echter toch wel eens een keertje een v8 willen hebben. Een
amerikaan heb ik nl. nooit durven kopen (troep) maar stiekum wel altijd
"begeerd".
