Anyone care to give me their thoughts on Old Man Emu suspension systems. My
hopes are for a better ride on rocky and rutted roads with no intentional,
or extreme, rock climbing. Thanks

Bob-

What are you planning on putting the OME suspension under? Is it a daily
driver / weekend wheeler? I have a 2" Skyjacker under my 89 Cherokee and it
does well. High enough to do easy wheeling, low enough to not worry on the
street. I opted for the Skyjacker "Hydro" shocks over the "Nitro" because
they are supposed to ride better on the road. I find the ride better than
stock.

Hope this helps..

Carl:    The comment was helpful. It's for a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Limited
that has already seen several thousand miles of southwest backroads, trails
and washes in the past 3 years with nothing more than a set of BF Goodrich
TA/KOs and the rocker panels removed. I don't necessarily need any more
clearance but the extra articulation will surely be welcome. I was mainly
looking for comments about the product and reliability. Thanks

If it has coil springs all the way around, a set of 2" coil spacers and new
longer shocks will do the trick and keep the ride at least as good as it was
from the factory, assuming You buy good shocks. If it has rear leaf springs,
the add-a-leaf (what I have) will lift it, the ride will suck for a few
days, but it does not flex very well. A set of 2" lift shackles will fit the
bill. I have coil spacers on the front my XJ and it flexes very well. If you
decide to go spacers, be sure they are poly.

HTH.
