88 Jeep wagoner 5.9L bell housing bolt patern

I have an 88 Jeep 5.9L with an  automatic trani,Can I install a 1970
chrysler 318 to this transmission? Are the bell housing bolt paterns the
same?  The 5.9L distributer is in the front, the 318 is in the rear.
The Jeep 5.9L engine looks nothing like a chrysler 5.9L. please reply

No it will not bolt up. Any modern AMC engine will though 4,6 or 8
cylinder. In V8's that would be a 304, a 360 or a 401.
