I'm new to the truck but had a 1997 model that never had any
problems.  This one has 200K on the clock and the antilock brakes are
definately not there.  I need to know the best way to troubleshoot
these and fix them since i actually prefer that they work.

What i know
I have a ground problem on the truck. I get different resistance to
ground terminal on the battery from various parts of the frame and
body.  I'm working on building a single net of wire to all the body
ground points to try to fix this. Dont' think its affecting the abs
but not sure.

How to trouble shoot? ABS light is always on and ABS does not work.
Can i read codes from ABS out of the obd connector?

is there a manual someplace on line that lists how to troubleshoot
this?  Can't find one but that means i am probably not looking in the
right place.

Any help appreciated.

Do you know which ABS controller is used in that truck? If yes, post
it, and maybe I can tell you how to get the codes.

I would suspect a front wheel speed sensor. I had a simular problem a
while back and it was a wheel sensor.
