I have a 92 Jeep Cherokee and am having trouble with the power seats.
It seems that some of the switches will only go in 1 direction. The toggle
switch will go up but not down.
Does anyone know what it might be and where the problem may be located?

Thanks
Steve

Steve,

I am not familiar with the '92 power accessories; but, I'm sure I know
some folks who do.

Try going to the Cherokee America's off.road email list:
http://www.off-road.com/jeep/jeeplists.htm

Sign up for the Jeep Cherokee (xj)- Digest mode. this will cut down on
the amount of mail you'll get. You might even want to open a separate
free yahoo mail account for this.

Tons of guys with tons of knowledge, or try the Jeep Tech list. Low
off-topis discussions, lots of tech.

Once they answer your question, you can always unsubscribe if you
wish.

Check it out.

Good Luck,

Approximately 10/25/03 09:19, Steve uttered for posterity:

? The switch itself won't physically move ?  Would seem it is
probably either the switch or it is jammed in place if so.

If the seat won't move, you'll want a FSM to track the signal
path from the switch thru the relays to the seat motors.
