I am looking for a bit more HP and fuel economy.
It is a totally stock car and I want just a simple intake not too expensive.
I live in SoCal so should I get a cold air intake?
Any suggestions as far as brands and where to buy?
Thanks

I am now thinking a simple PVC design will do.

I bought a Bomz CAI (made in China)off Ebay for $60(included shipping) and
it gave a nice power increase to my GSR,with a large increase in NOISE.
It came with NO instructions,so I had to figure out what to remove and how
to do it myself.I consider it worth the $60.Nice polished aluminum tubing,a
reuseable hi-flow air filter, and bright yellow couplers with all the hose
clamps needed. There are short rams on Ebay that are half the cost, but give
much less increase in power.Cold air really makes a difference. You could
make a duct to bring cold air to the short ram using clothesdryer vent
ducting.I'd go with the Bomz CAI,easier, and nicer looking.
The stock Integra intake is very restrictive.
There are websites that tell how to make your own cold air intake, but YMMV.

Yeah, I got a BOMZ myself, but I went with the short ram for now. That's
right, cold air does make the difference, and I don't think I saw the cold
air intakes on EBAY at the time I was looking for one, & saw the short ram,
so I went with the short ram. Oh well. One of these days I'll get the cold
air. I am very happy with the short ram, though, for now. Just be sure to
get a bypass valve there on Ebay also (very cheap, compared to other places)
if you get the cold air.

The longer ducting of the cold air intake gives more torque at the lower
RPMs. I've been running without any bypass valve(in rainy central Florida!)

Thanks for the tips!
I think I am leaning towards using the stock air box, replacing the paper
filter with a K&N, and removing the resonator.
I think this will open up the flow quite a bit, be inexpensive, be a cold
air system, and will be able to be smogged without the tester noticing the
modification.

From what I've read,a cold air intake doesn't affect the smog,because it's
the electronic fuel injection computer that controls mixture and corrects
it closed-loop (when warmed up).The O2 sensor tells the ECU if the exhaust
is proper for the catalytic to work.
AEM web site says their CAIs are 50 state compliant. There's a lot of data
for induction systems there,too.
the intake pipe from the airbox to the resonator is U-shaped with another
outlet on the inner curve of the U that goes into the resonator. The end of
the U pipe goes up and into a joint at the top of the fenderwell,*back into
the engine compartment*. Where it picks up HOT air.
And some of the stock piping is corrugated,so it messes up the airflow.
IMO,you would not get much by just removing the resonator.
The diameter of my Bomz intake is larger than the stock piping, too.

I bought my Teg like that, with a K&N air filter on the stock airbox.. They
are damn good filters, esp. K&N cold air intakes, from what I hear. Also, my
BOMZ short ram came with instructions, believe it on not, & recommended
disconnecting the neg. battery terminal for 10 minutes to reset the ECU in
order to "relearn" of the new intake setup. I ended up buying a cheap
generic ECU off EBAY (yeah, I know--I fell for it----one of the ones
claiming to increase the redline/blah blah) & had it installed at the same
time I got the BOMZ. Also, as Jim said, the BOMZ pipe is ~3" diameter, and
the stock intake is, what, ~2.5"? I can tell my Teg simply breathes better
now. I'm just waiting now on a rear section exhaust I ordered out of Cali.
They sent the whole cat-back kit, but sent the wrong rear section.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Just kidding It is frustrating, though. I'm patient.
Still waiting............................

Aftermarket CAI are known to reduce torque. Just was Sports Car
Revolution. They put CAI on the project Acura RSX and lost torque.

Honda Tuning Magazine had the opposite results in their dyno tests; their
torque increased for the true CAIs(both of two makes tested),but not for
the short rams.Not a big increase,though,IIRC.
I know that the CAI on my GSR improved the low end very noticeably.
(Bomz,$60 USD)
