How do you tell if the air co has enough R134a,or needs filling, and how do
you tell if it's full or too full?

With a R-134 gauge set and thermometer.

Rule of thumb: Pressures should be around double ambient temp +/- 20
on the high side and half ambient +/-20 on the low side.

So on a 100 degree day

30 psi Low Side
220 psi High Side

would  be about normal..  There may be specs in your car's service
manual.  There are specs for the amount of refrigerant it takes, on
the car.

Lets say you get 20 degrees out of the dash vent and then add 134 and
the temp coming out of the dash gets higher, you have overfilled.  So,
add carefully..

However, if your a/c isn't working correctly, you may have a leak or
some other issue that needs to be corrected.

If its 11 years old, doesn't it use R-12?

It's a 94 GSR,but I took delivery of it in late 93.
It's clearly R134a,says so in the owners manual.

Also, some Honda vehicles switched to R134a in 93, not 94.  The Prelude,
NSX, and Legend all had R134a for the 1993 model year.
