Just a thought. Does anyone know when the new model year for the
tl comes out. I assume we are not too far from that, and maybee the tire and
leather seat issues will be addressed in the new model.
Also, do you think there will be a price increase, and if how much,
and would it make more sense to wait a month or two, since a 2005 would be
worth a lot more in three or four years then a 2004 would. It would almost
seem at this point, to be an economical thing to wait.
One more thing. I spoke with verizon today about the bluetooth. The
motorola 710 is the one they are going to use, but they dont know when.
Anyone know when this will occur. It looks like a very nice phone. I see
someone preordered one on ebay and paid over a thousand for it. I hope the
pricing is closer to 500 dollars or so.
Anyone have any input on my thoughts. It would be much appreciated.

what tire and leather seat issues. there's a well known headliner issue that
deserved a TSB, but from what i've read thus far any tire issues were due to
poor selection, not safety related. what about the leather ???

aug/sept 2004 you should see 2005 tl's.

inherent problem with the leather stretching out, and causing cracks and
creases, especially with the lighter shades it becomes more apparent.
Also from what I ahve been reading is that the stock
tires,(even the second generation) are hazards in the rain or other
inclement conditions.
Whats the deal with the headliner?
Would you wait a few months for a
2005?

the glue used to attach the velcro to the steel of the car comes off.
probably a specs issue, either 3M delivered bad product or Acura design
specs were bad.

my tl does nt have this issue, yet.

2005 should be more refined.

Mine did but after two tried from my dealer, I gave up on them
and used epoxy to fix it.

the solution is (since no TSB for it), to find out from Acura who supplies
the velcro. 3M probably makes the pressure stick tape that the velcro is on.
once you get the type of glue used you could get better velcro from 3M (3M
makes some good stuff).
