I'm thinking of using a web site like vehix.com or cars.com or Costco for
my next car purchase. Any recommendations about which site is best and
which to stay away from would be appriciated.

Thanks,

I was able to negotiate a better price with the Internet sales department
of a local dealership than any online car sales company could give me. Your
best bet is to telephone the Internet sales managers at all the dealerships
near you, and ask for the best price they can give you. Then pick the second
lowest price and ask that guy if he can beat the lowest. Play this game until
you get the price you want.

I agree.  I tried Costco & a couple other ones & was able to negotiate a
proce about a thousand less than Costco.
