Hi --

Yesterday i test drove 2004 Acura TL with Navigation system. I just
have one question related to the navigation system. I saw some
information on the internet about playing regular DVDs thru navigation
sytem.
Is it plossible to play/watch regular DVDs thru navigation sytem?

Thanks for the help

No.

First of all, I am not sure that it is legal to have a dvd playing a movie
where the driver can see it, so check with your local regulations.  Second of
all, I know that it is not safe to be distracted while driving and watching a
movie.  Even looking at the map screen can be distracting.  Very similar to
talking on a cell phone!

On my 2003 TL-S, the navi screen will not play a dvd, as it is made for the map
display and not movies.

Not the way it comes from the factory.  It's not safe anyway and
is most likely illegal.

I agree w/ everyone above, however, there are several after market products
that will allow you to watch a movie via the navi screen.
