Are you serious? You complain to this group how badly you got screwed
by Erin Mills Acura, now you want to know if you should get
"life-time" rust proofing from them?

You're being too kind.
OK. I admit I do not know much about rust proofing, esp. with dealers. As
far as I know or hear from others, dealers do not do good job in rust
proofing although they offer tempting life-time deal at low price. I called
Ziebart, who told me that they will charge a first payment of 400 CAD for
first time rust proof and then 45 CAD/year after that. Google shows lots of
complaints about Ziebart. I called another mechanic, he offers 150 CAD for
rust-proofing (full) and 80 CAD for under-coating. Some people said that
they even do not do rust proofing but weekly cleaning of their cars and
still be able to keep their 'free' of rust. After thinking it over, I
decide I will go with the mechanic who will charge me 150 CAD for the rust
proofing.

The rust proofing only protects with a guarantee that your car won't rust
from the inside
out. There is no guarantee or warranty that your car won't suffer from
surface rust.
If you get the undercoating done, make sure they do it neatly (ie: not
splattered all over
your muffler for example).
