Hi, Acura gurus:

I have a 2001 Acura 1.7 EL (Touring ed, no butt warmers on the seats!) and
it appears that I'm leaking power steering fluid.

I find it funny what that would happen - considering I've never had that
problem before with my wife's 97 Civic.  Acura replaced the steering rack
2 yrs ago - apparently the previous owner had the same problem - now it's
cropping up again.

Anyone have the same problem?

Yes, just started at 59k.  Dealer offered no suggestions or solutions.
They were being less than helpful since I was complaining about tranny
problem and they were not cooperating.

Good to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this...

Followup - since I'm JUST expired on the 3 year warranty, but at the same
time I'm still under 30K Km, and I told the dealer (since I had made a
couple of complaints about that before) - they ordered a new steering
rack for me.

Suggest - when people complain, be fair, document everything, and allow
the other person to say what they have to say.  Be reasonable, be firm,
but always be polite... and it worked.  I'm surprised that they'd replace
the whole steering rack (even though it's like the 3rd time I've
complained about this.
