It seems that the front rotors got warped. Anyone know if they
can be taken off quickly, after the front wheel is removed..or
do I need special tools?
Thanks.

You will need wrenches to get the calipers out of the way of course.
There are also a couple of philips screws that are intended to hold
the rotors in place until the wheel is put on. When new they are
removable easily with a #3 philips screwdriver. Unfortunately their
ends protrude from the other side of the hub and if the car has been
on the road a while, and especially in winter salt slush, they rust in
place. They can be a bitch to get out. The special tool then required
is a 1/2 inch drive impact wrench with a philips bit. Either get a
garage to loosten them for you, or buy one of those $10 handheld
impact wrenches you hit with a hammer.
