What is the difference between the touring package and the base model? I am
looking at a 2001.

Any comments on this vehicle? I live in New England, and while I love my
Legend, it's not a great car in the snow.

Thanks for any advice.

Gary;

The touring model, on the '01, adds the following to the base model;

1) Multi disc CD changer (base has single disc CD)

2) Upgraded sound system

3) Dual power front seats (base has driver's power seat only)

4) Roof rack

My wife bought an '04 Touring w/ nav in Jan and have had no problems with it
(we also live in New England).  Change the oil and it will serve you well.
The only complaints I have is that it has a fair amount of wind noise around
the mirrors at highway speed and the nav system can be annoying.  I
understand the nav sys was upgraded for '05.

good luck.

Also for the 2005 MDX (touring only) they added hands Free Link
which allows you to "pair" your bluetooth cell phone
and use the sound system as a hands free device... as it's done in the 04-05
TL and now 05 RL.
