2004 TSX - creaking dash or loose windscreen mountings

Hi there,

I have a recurrence of a bad creaking noise coming from the dash in my 2004
TSX - hear it every time I hit the smallest of bumps...already had the
windscreen right hand side mountings replaced once...now it looks as if the
left hand side is causing problems.  Anyone else had this issue?  Car runs
great but the little stuff would make me think twice about buying another
TSX.

Dave,

I have a similar creaking dash noise on my '04 TL.  See my Feb. 7th.
post.

The dealer has the car now and tells me the noise actually came from the
sun roof.  There are styrofoam insulaters that loosened.  He has fixed
that problem and will keep the car another day to listen again for a dash
problem.  I would not have guessed the noise originated in the sun roof.
Apparently, Acura has had some history of this noise problem in current
and previous model TL's.

Perhaps that is something you should look into on   your TSX.

I've been seeing a lot of posts recently about creaking sounds (and
this would drive me insane if it occurred in my car) occurring in the
cabin of most new Honda/Acura and I am getting annoyed at this common
problem. I know that Honda wants to cut costs and this is where they
can cut the most but I didn't buy a Honda/Acura to get all of these
creaking sounds. If I wanted that, I'd buy a Ford, at least then I
wouldn't be surprised when they did occur. Honda had better get their
act together quickly otherwise my 95 Integra may be the last Honda I
buy.
