I recently purchased a '98 Acura - I've never had leather seats before - can
anyone suggest a good cleaner and conditioner. I've heard that you should
not use a single product but 2 separate ones.
Thanks

The best thing you can do for leather is not to park it in the sun. My
Acura seats dried up and cracked despite their careful diet because I
had to park in the open all day at work.
I gave up on my Miata and put seatcovers on it.

Most people seem to go with Lexol or Zaino leather conditioner.

Acura dealers sell the product they use for extended warrenty protection.

I don't believe that an extended warranty would cover leather.

6 of one Half a dozen.
Most leather conditioners are Lanolin based. Mothers, Lexol, Meg's whatever.
You can even use Lanolin baby wipes.
If your in a small town you may be stuck with a lesser selection. I've never
seen Lexol or Zaino in any of our larger stores. Maybe someone else can
suggest a retailer for your region.
Good luck

Thanks everyone - I had read about Lexol and Zymol.
I didn't purchase the car from an Acura dealer, but a Toyota dealer - trade
in. I did, however, purchase the extended warranty, but haven't looked to
see what it covers :O)

Surprisingly, Acura makes THE BEST leather cleaner in a small aerosol
can. It comes in a black box along with two other cleaners for glass
and plastic. It also comes in a larger pump bottle but I wasn’t
impressed. The aerosol can makes the leather soft, slick, and brings
out the leather smell. The cracks in the grain leather also smooth
out. The pump version didn’t seem to perform as well. The black box
kit sells for about $10 and has a black NSX on the front cover. The
can has enough cleaner to generously clean the seats for about 2.5
cleanings.
