Temp Gauge On 93 Integra

My temp gauge does barely move up the scale even when the engine is
running for a while. How do you test to find out if its the meter or
the sensor. Where is the sensor located? I know how to use a
volt/ohmeter. Appreciate any help.

Replace the thermostat. With OEM.
