91 Acura Legend help

Hi,
My 91 Acura Legend leaks coolent near water pump.
If the weather is hot, it leaks a lot but if the weather is cold, it's not
leaking.
Mileage is 158000. Never changed water pump.

Pls help.

The pump should be replaced with the timing belt. If you have never changed
the belt you are way overdue. The pump will only get worse and leave you
stranded. Overheating the engine may also warp the head which would require
a new head gasket and resurfacing the head.

DIY timing belt change is difficult due to the nearly impossible to remove
timing belt pulley bolt. I gave up on mine (91 integra -- not sure if legend
has the same problem) after trying an electric 240 ft lb torque wrench to no
avail.

Ain't that the truth. We barely got the one in my son's '94 Integra with the
help of a 500 ft-lb impact with the regulator connected right at the driver.

Art also speaks sooth about the high stakes if the timing belt fails (and if
the water pump seizes it will take the belt out.) Nothing good can come of
putting this off.
