There was lots of water from heavy rain.
When I opened the hood, a splash of water dropped onto the alternator.
Will this likely cause any problem ?

Nope.
You ought to have a look under there afer a drive on a rainy day.
EVERYTHING is soaked. It's MADE to get soaked. Many older rear-drive
American cars had their alternators right up front, immediately behind the
rad.

Many of us wash our engines with a spray washer semi-regularly. We usually
are careful around the distributor and the fluid reservoirs but the
alternator gets the spray. No problems yet!

Definitely! Immediately go to your nearest authorized, genuine, Acura dealer and beg forgiveness from the Acura god. Then prepare to shell out huge sums of money to fix your laxity. LOL
