"Service needed" light question.

Is it turned off if you get service somewhere other than Acura dealer?

It can be turned off by anyone anytime, provided that "anyone" knows how to
do it. How to do it is listed in your Owner's Manual, which you hopefully
have not lost in a one year-old car.
