I just got a recall notice that says, "the timing belt tensioner can lose
oil and if enough oil is lost the timing belt loosens and causes engine
noise. Come on down for a new timing belt tensioner"
I bet it does cause some noise......
Anybody know anything about this?
Thanks.

I just dropped off my 2002 TL for the update this morning and the tech
said there really isn't any noise or anything on the ones they have
done. Interesting enough is the fact that this is an 'update' not a
recall.

If you really, really need to know service and/or recalls >>
http://www.alldata.com/ OR safety rrecalls NHTSA >>
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ OR crash tests IIHS
>>http://www.hwysafety.org/ OR BEST >> Google "Acura 2003 CL Recalls"
which gives you (among others) >>
http://www.acuraofmissionviejo.com/service/updates/03-030.asp which gives
VIN numbers and an inquiry form to Honda.
