Well, my wife's 2002 TL-S just joined the failed auto transmission
crowd at about 28K miles.  I've been waiting since about 25K miles.
There were a few hiccups over the past 2 months but yesterday it
really bit it.  Luckily, my wife was able to get to the Acura dealer
without getting stranded yesterday afternoon.  So, in about a week I
guess we'll have a new transmission.

What is the rate of failure?  Must be pretty high.

Dealer repaired (new transmission) in a few days with use of loaner
car.  No hassles - hope that's the end of it.
