Don't get me wrong, I love my '04 TL, but it's got way too many rattles.
The passenger door, the seat belt tether, the visor. Man. Of course, my
dealer just thinks I'm just a difficult customer. He finally heard the
visor rattle and replaced it. It was so loud, I couldn't hear the radio. I
crap you not. The other rattles are more elusive and don't seem to happen
when I bring the car in. I also have what sound like a creaking "rubber"
noise in the drivers door seal. Every time I hit a bump, I hear it (because
it's right near my left ear).
I'm not trying to be too critical, but I expect better build quality on a
35K car. My 2003 TL was solid-no rattles or creaks ever. Perhaps I should
have kept it.
Anyone else having problems. What did the dealer say?
Sincerely
Shake, rattle and roll.

Mine is tight as a drum; not a single rattle or creak.

The only rattle I've noticed so far is the wind deflector that
pops up from the moon roof. I've heard that some people put felt
strips underneath it to eliminate that one. Not enough to drive
me crazy right now but I may do that eventually.

My 2004 TL has developed some intermittent rattles as well. They are indeed
annoying.
I am less than impressed with the build quality on the American built Hondas
and Acuras. My previous Japanese-built Hondas (and my current NSX) have not
had these same problems at all.
I am not sure what to do about all the issues, including the vibration at
50+ mph. I plan to contact the regional manager and see what he has to say.

Honda and Acura quality and durability has peaked. I have an older Acura and
can see they don't hold a chance of being as durable.

Ha! I sold my 2004 Honda Accord EX because it rattled so much. Rattled
more than my 92 Honda Accord. Hope Acura and Honda fix these problems.
Paint chipped easily too.

Would you recommend buying new Acura TL or wait for 2005?
