I've had my 2002 TL for 4 months now, and I need to get the read window
cleaned up. When I bought it (10K miles), it was spotless, except the read
window. I didn't realize it for a week or so, and didn't take it back to
the dealer. So now, here I am and I want to get the stinker clean. I've
tried Windex, professional glass cleaner (bought at Advance Auto), and
RainX. Obviously, I've also washed the car numerous times since December.
So far, no luck. Any ideas on what might clean the glass without damaging
the car?
I'm new on this list, so email replies are much appreciated.
THanks!

Try Bon-Ami. IIt can be found at Home Depot and any typical auto
shop. It works amazingly well on any glass. Do not use it under
the sun, but in the shade and apply liberally. Try a few
applications if at first is does not succeed...
Good luck

I've used vinegar on a cotton rag with great results.

It's easy to remove spots -- just mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle
and clean the window normally. It will look spotless.
I had the same problem with my new TL. My wife had to show me how to get
rid of the spots in quick order. Don't you hate it when the wife looks at
you like she thinking 'could you be this dumb?'. I just think, I married
pretty well.
Good luck,
