Dear alfistas
Please help......
Ever since my child is born, I am doomed to drive a boring Volvo 850
estate,
while my beloved Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce S3 stays in the garage.
Things got even worse when in a recent family holiday to
Brittany(wife, 1 year old daughter and me) , I was driving the Volvo,
when most of the
other drivers drove around me with miatas, spitfires, Lotus7s, BMWs
and
Elises. That was the first time I went to Brittany without driving an
Alfa.
And let me tell you, Mont Saint Michael without an Alfa is not nice...
I need your help, as a matter of fact I am desperate for your help.
I need to fit a child seat at the rear self of the spider; I would
like to
hear from people that they have done that, especially their
experiences.
Photos of the seat in the spider and the mounting points would be
greatly
appreciated (with personal email). If you have done it with your
child, what
head gear does he/she wear?
Please save the street cred of a religiously fanatic alfista
Many thanks
Harry

practical!)

I have done the same on my S4 - no difference to the S3 - my local garage
carried it out securing the mounting point of a 3 way harness. I will
attempt to take some photos. For the seat I bought the largest child seat
which had a full back from Argos. A few adaptions to this made it sit fine
on the parcel shelf.
My five year old loves it and has never complained about comfort -
motorway driving can be a bit windy so we put the roof up - but Sunday
driving is fine and means we can all go out together. 156 for winter means
the Spider is always a treat - how long this will last who knows!

I've posted a Seat mounting page on the Alfa Forum, see link below

Hope this helps
