The left-hand speakers on my radio cut out from time to time.
Please don't laugh at the next bit (it's an Alfa after all) - if I
open/close one of the electric windows, the speakers cut back in again !!!
Any ideas where I should be looking for the fault ?

Behind the door card. At a guess the window winding down is nudging the
connectors.

Yes, this happened to my 2003 156 (under warranty). The dealer thoroughly
cleaned the multi-pin connector between door and body and the problem was
resolved. (Didn't stop them first insisting it was the CD unit & returning
it to Blaupunkt!)

I have this problem with the right hand speakers. I find if I turn the
volume way up (briefly!) it comes on again.
I suspect a bad connection somewhere, but haven't bothered to try to locate
it.
