My G reg 164 has just lost all drive, I think it must be the gearbox
output gear.

Either I need a s/hand gearbox or someone can have the car, it's motd
till april.

Reply address is valid, I hope.

Shame, no takers.

I'll double my offer then, 2 164s. One mot till april, no drive, the
other newer but mot expired but there is a fault with the heater
blower. This is allegedly due to the engine management computer not
talking to the heater/ac equipment properly.

I took a drive in the latter, it seemed a bit pokier than mine and had
a "mangoletsi" decal on the back, it's H registered with <100,000
miles.

I took a brief look at changing gearboxes but I lack the time or
space.

I have had a response by e-mail suggestion that the heater motor may
be only a broken fusible link. I have arranged to collect the vehicle
and check this out, if it works and passes an MOT I'll use it,
otherwise I have lost 30quid and will still dispose of both vehicles.
The local scrappie will take both for free if I remove batteries and
fuel.

>Have you thought of ebay?

I've bought from there but not sold, too much to learn to bother with
this atm.

The second 164 was "sold" on ebay, reached 200quid and then an new
bidder went 205, never showed, so the seller offered it to me foc. I
was going to change the gearbox and run mine.
