Alfa 155 door panels

Hi,
How do I remove the door panels of an Alfa 155? I found 3 screws but
even with those removed, I couldn't take the panel off.

Is there some kind of clever magical trick? (I'd like to be able to put
the door panel back on again ;) )

With *most* cars, the door panel it held on with plastic 'pins' that clip
into holes in the door itself.  You can get a special tool to help remove
these, but care with either your hands or a long screwdriver will suffice.  
The way I find out where the pins are is by touch.  Try to hok your fingers
under either the bottom edge of the door card, or on of the vertical edges.
If you can do that, and slide your had along, you should feel the first of
several pins.  Get as close to it as you can, and pull *gently* straight
out frm the door.  The pins do become brittle with time, you want to avoid
breaking as many of them as possible.  Once the first is out, things get
easier.

You may also find that the card sits in a channel top and / or bottom.  On
the nord cars, this is simple removed byt loosing all the pins, then
shifting the entire card upwards to free the channel from the door.  On the
Sprint, the card neds to be bent in the middle to give enough play to come
out of the channels top and bottom.

Sorry. I'd help if I could but I've never even looked at the door
cards on my 155.
May have to soon.  Broken outer door handle.
Mind you 155 off road at mo. £1000ish needed spending for MOT so may
strip it for spares and get a wide-body 155.

Jesus. What's wrong with it? - that's more than a narrow-body 155 is
worth!

Be interesting to know as my narrow body is in for it's MOT next week,
at 134k miles I'm slightly nervous.

about ?1000 more than a narrow body 155 (Q4 excluded) is worth....

Well, I've already had the fooked brake pipes sorted, so that's one less
thing to fail on.

It's nice having working brakes....... especially when it only cost me
£56.69 to sort, including an oil and filter change :-)

My Problem is that all the small jobs you always put off have come
together at the wrong time.
Clutch change, Both CV joints and all gaiters, Catallitic converter,
Mid & Rear Exhaust, Rear brake pipes corroded.
As you've all said, more than the car's worth.
I'll pick up my mates P reg 155 1.8 16v for £500. That only needs a
new valve & piston. (Valve came loose & holed piston). Should be
cheaper in the long run to put on road.
Use old 155 for spares where parts are same, lights, glass, etc.
