I thought the rear lights on my Black 147 could do with a change as I
thought they were too dull compared with the rest of the excellent design.
Any comments?

Well, unfortunately my colleagues in work, one in particular who rebuilds
and drives a number of Jaguars from E-Type to XKR disagree with you and
thought the original, dull red lights definately let the side down. Don't get
me wrong, these lights would not do on any other colour, but on my black one
they do the business. Seen in the flesh they are much better than the photo.
Never mind, I like them and so they will stay.

I can believe that

And that is what matters :)  Go for it.

Lexus style lights only belong on a Lexus. Even if they do have a smoked
rather than clear cover.

Maybe my opinion is biased because every boy racer around these parts
has stuck them on their car.

IMHO, Alfas are one car that don't need aftermarket bolt-on tat.

True, although at least he is only trying to gild the lily, not polish a
turd.

It is a slippery slope Paul. Before you know where you are it will look
something like this:

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

though I *love* this threat:
You need to post a source. However, if I find the person that did this to an
Alfa I will castrate the dribble-mouthed buffoon with a cheese grater, rub
them with salt and throw them into a pen of hungry goats.
