I think it's beyond it mate.  You;d be better breaking it for spares then
auctioning them separately.

Oh, I should have mentioned: I'd be interested in the strip across the rear
of the boot, assuming it's red.

I think you mean crushed.

It's got a rotten shell and knackered paint, and it's not worth anywhere
near the start price.

Jesus, some people have such a vastly over-inflated opinion of rotten
old Alfas.

You could get an MOTd runner for not much more than you're asking.

Break it for parts, that's the best way of seeing decent money back on
it.

Hmm
So how much d`yall reckon a complete Veloce kit ( with
box wings ) and a set of revolutions are worth then ?
If I had the money spare at the minute I`d have been prepared to pay the
start price I think.
Incidentally , does anyone want a perfect 75 bootlid in rosso130 ?
Open to offers.

Any two major parts of the car, ie body kit & exhaust, alloys and body kit,
engine and alloys has got to be worth ?500. That is why i set the starting
price at ?500.  The total value of spares is probably around the ?1000 mark
although i accept that there are people in this group who will disagree with
me.  Its just so much easier to sell the car whole

Thanks

It is, but I bet it won't sell.

Good luck, though

Hello Catman

To tell you the truth i am not too worried if the car doesnt sell, i
know it is worth more in pieces than as a full car.  However if there is
anybody out there that is after one of the major parts he/she could still
effectivly get it for free if they bought the car and then sold the rest off
in bits.  The listing on ebay is still an excelent way to advertise the
parts altogether.

Cant see the fasination in the red rear lights and boot strip, still alot
more common than the 3.0 Veloce's with the amber boot strips.

Thanks

Karl (but what a car, west oxfordshire to huntingdon (96 Miles) in 93
minutes (6am to 7.30am on a week day) and that was before the silverstone
bypass was built)

You are absolutely correct.  The only problem is that most people that want
the parts won't have the space to take them off, or  the facilities to
dispose of what's left.  For example, if *I* had both I might well bu it ;)

OTOH the breakers that do have the space and facilities aren't interested in
paying more than they have to simply cos it will impact their profit.

Yeah.  It's just that I need a red one to replace mine. You seem to be
selling one ;)  Though I understand it's amber.
