We bought a new 147 here in Belgium. We ordered the distinctive
version which is the top of the range 1.6. We were told that the
steering wheel with controls was included in the price for this range.
When we picked up the car last week we found that there were no
controls on the wheel. When we asked the dealer about this he said
that there was some confusion.
The price/spec list we were given says that the distinctive model
includes all the features of the lower models plus extras. Low and
behold the lower models include the steering wheel controls. On
another page it says that it is an option of around 200 euros.
Should we take this up with the head office in Belgium or go through
the dealer, since the dealer seems to be claiming it was a genuine
mistake?
Do you think we have any chance of getting our steering wheel?
TIA

Most definitely.
I had an error on my 156. It lacked the middle rear head rest and three
point belt. I showed the dealer the specs and they agreed it was an error.
They sorted it without quibble.
