My X plate 156 has an intermittent idle problem. A couple of times whilst on
a journey it has refused to idle and instead will stall at traffic lights
etc. It will restart as long as you give it some gas and drives as normal
until the next time you come to a stop. The problem rectified itself after
one hour only to happen again the next day. At present I have had five
trouble free days with no recurrence of the fault.
Living in the South West as we do has some pros and cons, the cons mainly
being that the main Alfa dealer could have given Dick Turpin a good run for
his money, thus I am loathe to take it there for a fault finding session
that would probably involve a remortgage without having an idea of what is
causing the fault.

If anyone has came across a similar problem then some advice would be
greatly appreciated.
