I have had a problem with one of my front suspension struts squeaking when I
go over bumps, now both sides are doing it and it's getting a little
annoying. It only seems to do it in cold weather which makes me think that
it's got something to do with the rubber bushes in the top of the struts.
Has anyone else had this trouble, and if so what was the problem????

Squeaks, rattles, clunks...you name it, I've had it.
Finally stopped after the front anti roll bar was replaced, new shocks
fitted and the rest of the suspension unit stripped and rebuilt...all under
warranty.
Now on 18 months of relatively trouble free driving, apart from various
sensors, door handles and a starter motor.

Its a very very very common and well-known problem - almost certainly the
bushes in the suspension arm 'pivots' (top especially, I think). Its said
they can be 'cured' by injecting lubricant into them, but it may only last a
while. Eventually they'll probably need changing. Mine also got noisier in
the winter weather.
See the alfa156.net Technical forum (and do a search) if you want to read
plenty more on this.
