For PC Alfa Racers

There is a new video here (8C in Milan):

Going a bit OT the Logitech Deriving Force Pro for the PS2 works perfectly
on a PC with the latest beta drivers. This force feedback wheel has a rack &
pinion mechanism which allows you to select up to 900 degrees rotation,
simulating a real life steering turns lock to lock.

The rotation is selected by the software drivers and does not require in
game support (like the PS2).

Cheers

I know this is OT and not the correct group but.

If the lock is software set and not driven by the game, then you may have
more 'turn' left in the wheel, for example, the lock come on to soon and
mean you cannot get around a corner.

It needs to be driven by the game, its like having a rumble pack the works
with a old Sega Maga Drive but it only rumbles when you hit fire 3 times in
a row, eg not when they games tells it to.

On a PC at least the wheel is calibrated so that max left involves turning
the wheel as far as it can go left, so the game is independent of the
hardware.

Decent sims also allow you to change the steering ratio as it tends to be a
compromise for 180 degree wheels where a flick of the wheel will apply full
lock.
