I have just baught a 2000 2.0L Alfa 156TS. However, it has only rea
doors speakers and basic CD changer with JVC radio.
I would like to upgrade it, to include front doors speakers an
tweeters, rear speakers and an amplifier.
Here are my questions:
- What size of speakers do I need for rear (window) location and wha
tweeters?
- Where can I buy speakers covers that suit that rear location? Do
need it anyway?
- Is there any cables or installation site ready for an Amp?
Thanks,
Alon ;

AFAIK, the 156 has front door tweeters and mid range speakers as standard,
unless yours were removed by the previous owner.
As per car sound enthusiasts, for rear window speakers, the larger the
better is preferred, subject to space constraints. A car sound shop would
give advice on sizes / price range.

As Malcolm said, the car should have come with front and rear door
speakers and tweeters in the top of the front doors. The other thing
that is strange is I don't think Alfa ever fitted JVC units as standard
(Alpine, Bose, Blaupunkt), so your car seems to be a bit odd. But this
may be a local issue: some countries do their own thing.
Door speakers are all 17cm.
As for the parcel shelf speakers, they are 6"x9" I think.
