I want to fit a CD changer to my alfa 156, but I'm a car radio novice!

I have a 2002 156 JTS with the Bose system. I have the standard 156 single
CD slot silver radio head unit like in this picture:

I can get a 12 disc JVC CH-X1500 for under £140 (UK), but will it wire in to
the car without buying lots of adapter cables and ripping up carpets etc?
Will it affect the steering wheel controls?

Any pointers or good websites to check?

Thanks.

not sure about compatibility..but the OEM headunit is made by Blaupunkt.
It might be better to look for a Blaupunkt changer.
I had a blaupunkt changer in my last 147, with bose and it all worked via
wheel controls apart from disc change.
To change from, say, disk one to disc two - you had to operate the joystick
button on the headunit...
