Picked up my Spider (2.0 Lusso 2001) last weekend, only one problem with it, there is a red light on the dashboard It looks like a seatbelt or airbag light. The previous owner tells me it's a common problem with these, and it just needs to go into the garage to be reset. Looking through the paperwork that came with the car it's been reset once, with a note "contacts cleaned", is this just a normal problem and I should leave it, or does it need looking at ASAP? Is there anyway I can clear it myself? You might be able to reset it, which could be useful cos AIUI if it's airbag, it's an MOT fail. It might depend on where you get it tested, though.
