Hi to all of you knowledgable Alfa enthusiasts.
I have bought some new front discs for my 1999 156 selespeed. There's only
one slight problem - how do I get the old ones off?
Having removed the caliper, the bracket is held in place by two bolts - if I
remove the caliper brackets what holds the disc on?

Thank you for any advice (polite only please...and nothing too painful)

There is a locator pin on the disc.  Unbolt it, then the only thing keeping
it on is corrosion.
