Indeed the Giulia's had the Perkins engine.
Later the 155/164 had a 4/5 cyl. VM Diesel (Italian)
As Alfa engineers "invented" the JTD system by accident (when developing the
directly injected petrol engine, now JTS) you could say that the present
diesels are Alfa engines and not Fiat's (although they are built in a
Fiat/GM factory)
