Well, not quite.

However.... here's the story.

Got a phone call from the wife at 9am yesterday morning - the wiper
motor on her 156 had packed up when she was half way to work, and it was
raining.

Quickly getting dressed and grabbing the keys for the 75, I dashed out
to meet her and swap cars.

After going through the usual checks I deduced that it was definitely
the motor, and phoned a load of breakers to source one.

However, this morning, I was getting bored of waiting for it to arrive,
so I decided to strip and clean the old motor the best I could (they
can't be fully taken apart by the looks of things).

One hour later, I now have working wipers.

Yay!

(It may seem a trivial fix to some, but I'm sitting here feeling quite
smug now)

Well done, I guess you have had ample opportunity to test your god like
workmanship today?

I felt similarly smug when I replaced my daughter's Punto's brake pads
in just 30 mins and for only £9.99. She was well impressed and thinks I
am a mechanic now and won't have to pay garages :)

She will quickly learn but I might as well take the glory whilst it lasts.

Most simple car jobs I touch are measured in days rather than minutes :)

Cheers

"self-defense wrenching"... It's a lifestyle. Good lad.
