I did wonder about using an FM modulator/transmitter, which would work,
could also be used with iPOD type units too, be completely wireless,
but, from what I can work out, be not entirely legal either.

They're rubbish, don't bother with them.

I've just bought a Revo DAB unit (www.revo.co.uk) which is planned for
install in the 156 once I get the right head unit. In the meantime I've
installed it in my daily transport (Merc Vito) and it works pretty well so
far. I've seen complaints on other sites about poor reception / poor aerial
etc but the std supplied aerial which sticks on the inside of the windscreen
is doing a fine job where I am in the Midlands and also on a recent trip
down south. Its connected either via the CD changer inputs or via the
supplied FM modulator which just plugs into the aerial socket and you tune
into Revo unit on FM. It works for me and with the 2nd car kit will enable
me to have DAB in both vehicles. All in all v happy, could just do with it
being a bit cheaper...
