They've got long white stems with green leaves at the end, they go well with
creamed potatoes in a soup and there's plenty in Wales. As for the loss of
fluid from your p/steering reservoir - haven't got a clue, sorry.

Experience a similar problem with my 156. Found that both the aluminium
pipes that sit under the radiator support had corroded and fluid was seeping
through pin holes made by the corrosion. New pipes come as a set and if I
remember correctly cost £30.

Wonder if that was what happened to my 155. The fluid just vanished, no
marks on the drive or anything.

Yes that's exactly the problem, can't source the pipes locally as Reg Vardy
have closed their Alfa dealership ( one of the worst in the UK ) but have
found them @Motorvogue in Northampton @ £37/pair so will fetch them
tommorrow if the wife will lend me her car! Thanks again for the info.
