Hi,

I managed to clip the curb yesterday while parking my 147 yesterday
<ggrrrr!>  And now have a small cut on the the sidewall of the tyre :(
The cut is very low down towards the rim of the wheel.  Is it possible
to fix this...?

Almost certainly, no, but ISTBC.  I would, at least, put the spare on if
you;re planning any kid of journey, and get it down to your local tyre
bods.

Any cuts in the side wall make it "not road safe" as you cannot see how
deep it is, or how much rubber is left intact on the inside.

Hhhhmmm....  That's wot I thought :(

Just checked with National Tyres on-line and you get a 10% discount, if
you get a quote via their website.  I guess I can live with that.

What's the tyre and how much have you been quoted?

(I've used etyres.co.uk a couple of times and they've consistently been
cheaper than traditional fitters - I'm sure other recommendations will
follow!)

Anyhow, it's a "fail" on MOT / TUV / APK etc. so at least put on the spare
and let the experts take a look.
